Subject: RE: What about kids By: Selena Shaw Written on: 2005-02-24 14:16:15 Message: I am just starting my training as well and don't know too much however a triathlon that I am doing this summer is the Timberman which is in Gilford NH. At this weekend event there is a sprint triathlon, a 1/2 ironman, and a Timberkids. Which lets me know kids do participate. The distances they are doing are: 100 yd swim, 3 mile bike, and 1/2 mile swim. The age ranges were 8-10 and 11-13. The age restriction for the sprint triathlon was 15+. So maybe just shorten the distances, keep it fun, and don't push it too hard. Have fun. | |
