Message: I've heard that term used in training but I'm new and just signed on for my first sprint triathlon. Is it comparible to a super-set in wieghtlifting?I have so many questions! What type of emotion is experienced after crossing that finish line?

Message: Yeah a circuit set is the closest thing I would relate a brick to. The main thing with Bricks are that you don't need to run hard or far off the bike. You can mix it up too one brick do an easy bike to ge the legs warmed up then do a harder run. Then for the next brick do a longer or harder bike ride and only run 15-20 minutes. It isn't a must to do the race distance all the time the big thing is to get your body used to running off the bike and it helps you mental state as well.
It is an awesome feeling to finish any distance especially your first!! I everything from sprints to Ironman and once you see the finish line you know it was worth it!! Best of Luck and have fun in the sport!!

Message: Thats good to hear Mike!! (not about your wife getting perturbed) But that my advice is helping out. I was lucky to have a friend who has done Hawaii a few times and a guy he trained with at college is now a Pro with several top ten finishes at St. Croix and IM Canda. I just like to be able to lend a helping hand whenever I can! I was real impressed with the Triathletes Training Bible by Joe Friel or Run Bike Swim by Wes Hobson. You might have already found those two if you have any other question feel free to email me and just label it triathlon that way I don't delete it thinking its spam
