Discussion: Bike shipping to and from IM France

Subject: Bike shipping to and from IM France

Message: Anyone know if there is there any enterprising individual / company out there who is offering a service to ship bikes to/from North America & IM France? I plan to travel after the race and can't see myself lugging a Trico case across Europe (at least not quickly).

Message: This does not answer your question directly, but you may want to know that taking your bike with you on the train in France is free. The SNCF (French Railroad) have rules as to where you can park it. You can also ship it for a fee with their freight subsidiary http://www.voyages-sncf.com/info_resa/passenger_guide/available_services/baggage/home.htm?LG=FR&;Rubrique=Available+Services&Theme=Baggage
and leave it in their warehouse until you ready to fly back.

Message: A good trick would be to find a local bike shop who would accept to have the biek shipped to them. They should also be able to put it back together for you
