Discussion: Wet suit storage?

Subject: Wet suit storage?

Message: I am hoping to get suggestions in regards to wet suit storage. I know that heat and sunlight breaks down the wetsuit material. So that will rule out storing it in the garage in the summer in Arizona. My wife will not let me store it in her walk in closet with her cloths,... she is unreasonable. I also know that I shouldn't fold it over a hanger because it will crease it. The shop I bought it from said to store it flat? Any idea's? Right now it is on my bed, laid out flat. My wife doesn't care for that either!

Message: Wetsuits are a beautiful thing, hang it as a decoration in your living room:-)
I'm sure if you do that your wive will find a place for you and your wetsuit but you might not like the place she comes up with.

Seriously I hang mine on a thick plastic hanger and it has been fine. I think it is 6 or 7 years old.

Message: I hang mine on a thick plastic hanger too with a bag over it in the closet. Maybe if you do that she'll agree. If not, tell her the only other alternative is to start storing your bike in the living room. hehe

Message: Ok, thanks I could do that and if I put a plastic over it she may not notice it with her other cloths.

The bike in the house didn't work either. I told her it matched the drapes on the windows but she didn't fall for it.

She really freaked out once when I took the bike inside the hotel room with us. She couldn't understand why it couldn't stay outside in back of the truck. Which I guess it could have but I felt better having it inside.. She is a blast, she does not get this Tri stuff at all but is my number one supporter.

Thanks for the advice.

Message: Steve
Instead of on the bed, how about under the bed?

Message: 1x store room
1 x wind trainer
1 x dvd player and tv
1 x spinnerval dvd
1 x cot bed
1 x BIG LOCK for the NAG, NAG, NAG that is sure to come!!
And a coat hanger for the back door to hang the suit.

Under the bed is a great idea if you do not have a cat.
