| Discussion: stationary bike? | |
Subject: stationary bike? By: Kendal B. Written on: 2006-04-04 09:32:17 Message: hello, I am starting training for my first triathlon and I am in good shape for the run and swim portion. However, the bike is a different story. The only bike I own is a mountain bike. Is it ok to train on that until I can buy a road bike or would a stationary bike at the gym be better? Any advice would be appreciated. | |
Subject: RE: stationary bike? By: Andy M. Written on: 2006-04-04 10:50:48 Message: Your mountain bike will be fine. I think it is far better to acutally be out riding where you are not only improving your cardilvascular health and strength but your bike handling skills as well. Being in Flordia, the weather is not an issue, unlike us unfortunate souls in the upper great lakes area where Spring does not come until May. If you like the sport then you can consider getting a road or time trialing bike.
