Message: Hi everybody!!

This semester I found a Triathlon Training class being offered at Glendale (AZ) Community College. The instructor organizes trifamily racing here in the Phoenix area. Each week there is a different class with guest speakers that really teach you something.

This week we had a guy who was 42 and had done over 200 triathlons and still had a regular job, family, etc. . .He talked about how he did all of his training in the morning, leaving his evenings for family time. He said that one of the keys was having a group relying on each other to show up at workouts. I am interested in finding a few members with either common goals or needs.

My goals: Ironman AZ in April 2006. I am doing an Olympic distance 10-2-05 and a half IM 10-30-05 (Soma).

My needs: Someone else that takes pride in the training time to exchange posts or emails about training and make this great site a little more valuable.

This forum would be great for tips about race preparation, training, hydration and nutrition, weight training, drills - you name it!

Any takers? FYI, I have only done two triathlons to date. I started using this site to post my running miles prepping for my first marathon and once that was done, it was natural to fill in the gaps. My dad is an inspiration to me and has started running every other day - not bad for such an "old guy" right?
