Subject: Marathon Distance question By: Phillip Duechle Written on: 2005-05-18 10:42:37 Message: I have set a lofty goal of completing a marathon in 4hrs. I am not a runner but have seen my pace drop by 30sec. for every day that I run. What is the best way to train for distance. I am sloww now at 3.25miles in 1 hour. Any help will be appreciated.

Subject: RE: Marathon Distance question By: Andrew Bell Written on: 2005-05-23 19:18:10 Message: Before you can do anything you need a goal. You have one, now you need a plan that will take you to your goal. You should be able to find a plan on the web. The hardest part of a marathon is the training program 18 weeks long and runs up to 20 miles long. You can do it if you stick to a plan. I have done 5 in 2 years the last one was 3:29 and I am 60 years old. My new challenge is to train for an olympic distance tri, thats why I am here. Good luck you can do it.
