Subject: Bike maintenance resources? By: Carie M. Written on: 2006-06-23 15:27:53 Message: Does anyone know of a good resource for bike maintenance? I am new to this biking thing and I've only had my road bike for a couple of months - already I am noticing wear & tear. I have several LBS's close to me but it seems like there are some things I can (and should) be doing myself.

Subject: RE: Bike maintenance resources? By: Jose G. Written on: 2006-06-26 16:51:52 Message: Carie, Don't be afraid to ask your LBS. If they're worth your business they will help you do some on your own because they are busy enough as it is. A USAT level1 Cycling coach works at mine and has given me several quick tips for adjustments/tweaks. They all know me by name and I am willing to spend a few extra buck at their shops in exchange for the hands on advice. They even recommended a HRM (Sigma PC15) that has served me well over the last two weeks.
