Message: Jael,

thanks for asking! Yes this weekend is the one. Its funny because I feel so ready and not nervous at all... thanks to all of on tri's advise. I feel ready to go. That is a good thing because I had a really busy week at work and didn't do anything on Wed and Thurs. Today I will go out for a short fun run, but nothing too strenous. The expo is Saturday, where we get our numbers painted on and pick up our race bags and stuff. They have clinics and last minute instructions. There is usually also at least one professional racer there and I plan to get an autograph this year. I missed Michelle Jones 2 years ago. But Nicole Deboom usually likes this race as she has family in Naperville.

Hey maggie! Maybe we can meet up and say hi at the Expo? What time do you think you will be there? We should invite anyone from on tri to meet up there and get a picture for the site! I will bring the digital cam! Lets do it!

Also, on a personal note, I have so much family coming that I won't have time to worry about the race as I will be entertaining family. My sister who lives an hour away is coming up to stay the night before and come to the race. My husbands entire family is coming. I have several friends who are coming from the club that I train in...... no pressure!

I will give a detailed report and plan to have pictures. Thanks for the well wishes.

Good luck....how fun to have all that family there for you. If you play it right they'll all be so impressed with your performance, you won't have to do anything for anyone the rest of the day! They'll all wait on you!

Message: Hey everybody. Went to the Expo today to pick up race packet and information, and lots of free stuff! I love the free stuff. Had a free 5 minute massgae and that was wonderful. I needed it because I didn't sleep well last night. I have read that last night is the most important night for my race on Sunday to get some extra sleep... and ofcourse, i hd that in my head and didn't sleep very well. I bet I get good sleep tonight! lol. I am so excited! I hear it might rain here! Bummer, but I am going forward no matter what. I can't control the weather, just react to it.... see I am listening. It was so inspiring to see everyone at the expo, young and older. I met a lady today that started tri's at 46 and has done 7 straight years. she says she has trained an average of 3 x week for seven years and she has never felt better. Isn't that a great story. So inspiring. I met a lady surviving breast cancer and doing her first tri... The first timers tent was packed. What a great lifestyle we are a part of .

That is enough rambling for now. Maggie and I missed eachother . I hope i will see her tomorrow.
