Subject: transition By: bill h. Written on: 2006-06-21 11:12:09 Message: Doing my first Tri. My indiviual events are fine, but going from biking to running my legs are crampy and feel like logs. It takes aleast a mile to feel okay. Any suggestions how to shake this off?

Subject: RE: transition By: Paul B. Written on: 2006-06-21 11:15:42 Message: hey bill...the best way to get over that feeling is to practice it. Doing "brick" workouts will help. Brick workouts are a simulated bike-run transition, so you would do, let's say, an hour bike, followed immediately by a 20 minute run, or so (just enough to get your legs used to it). do that a couple of times before your race and your legs should be much better equipped to handle the transition. Good luck.
