Message: This post will only be of interest to the people in the Boston area, but I decided to do it here rather than bug each you w/ an email. This way you can ignore it if you want & I will be none the wiser : )

I'm looking for a training partner! I'm 24/f and would be looking to train with someone maybe 2x? per week. I need to do open water swims and long bike rides. You can look at my log on here for times, although (as some of the posts earlier today alluded to) I'm sure it's exactly representative. I average about 15-17 mph on the bike (road biking is new to me) but would love to go with someone a bit faster to challenge me. Biking is my weakness right now as it is the event most new to me. Swim: I'm a good swimmer but I have no idea if the per mile time the log has given me is accurate. When I'm training in the pool a 500 is my warmup and I usually swim about 2500 yards for any given workout (sometimes more, sometimes less). Running: I'm about a 9 min/miler ... I can be faster with speed workouts and proper training but 9 is comfortable for me. I'm keeping that as a goal for the races as I dont know how much energy I will have left!

All that said ... is ANYONE interested? I've exhausted the options with friends...they all think I'm crazy for doing this anyways and tell me I need to find someone with similar craziness problems to train with : )
Email me: beckyrdaley@yahoo.com or send me a message via ontri!

Thanks,
Becky

Message: Hi Becky -

We have an informal group that runs track every Tuesday eve in Watertown - we would welcome more on the track and we'll be there (Victory Field in Watertown) tomorrow at 6:45. A good place to start as many there will be up for other workouts during the week. All levels and very down to earth and fun group but we try to push each other a bit. Come on down!
