Message: Hi folks,
I am looking for training buddies in chicago. I am training for oly distance tri's in july and august and a 1/2 IM in sept.

I am a slow runner (9-10/mile), but would like to do some fartlek and hill drills with faster folks who will push me to sprint...

BIke speed averages 16-17, but I can push it quite a bit more if I've got somebody in front of me taunting me a bit...

Swim....well, we're all really on our own there, anyway, aren't we? I will be going for mile open water swims at oak st. beach when the water warms up a bit. Any takers?

I am confident in the water and on the bike but have never had any training or coaching in any of these sports. Would love to (try to) tag along (for as long as I can!) with folks who are more experienced and try to absorb what I can by watching...

Message: Maggie,

Is your 70.3 in September the Lake Geneva Extreme? Have you checked out the run course.

Andy

Message: I actually hadn't made a final decision, because I haven't looked at the course yet...but that was the one I was thinking of, yes.

Message: I have not done the 70.3 but I have done the Oly the past two years. It is certainly challenging to say the least. Thought I would let you know before you made a decision. Good Luck - Andy.
