Message: Speaking of bike maintenance....I just got yet another book (if you guys can't tell, I'm an avid reader) called Bicycle Repair Manual by Chris Sidwells for $15.00 at Books a Million. It covers all facets of bike maintenance for specialty (road, mountain, BMX) as well as general use bikes (hybrid s, utility, and folding). It starts off with the basics, then goes into the frame, wheels/tires, drivetrain, the whole 9. It even has a maintenance schedule in it for weekly, monthly, and bi-annual maintenance you should do to keep your equipment operating in top shape. I haven't read a specific lubricant brand or anything yet, but if I run accross any more info I'll surely pass it along.

Good training, and we'll see ya out there.

Message: Bike lube is all about preferance and how much money you want to spend. I usually use a wax like White lightning. You just clean your chain really well, lube it up, and leave it. After a muddy or dirty ride you wipe it clean and reapply the wax. But it really doesn't matter as long as you keep something on the chain. Best to stay away from WD-40 and the like. Hope this helps.

Message: Justin... Thanks alot for the advise. I found a wax base spray lube--Dupont--Teflon multi- use Lubricant- . Goes on wet then becomes dry. Does a triffic job especially when bombing the forest trails. Cost about 5 bucks at Lowes. ~Daddeo~
