Message: If I am swimming in a 25yard (length) pool, how many laps would be equal to 1/4 mile?

Message: I believe it is 16 if you are counting each way. I swim in a 25 meter pool and I always use a conversion calculator to figure out the distance.

Message: One mile in a 25 yard pool is 1,800 yards so 1/4 of a mile would be 450 yards or 18 lengths of the pool.

Message: See, even on here I am getting conflicting info. The lifeguards at the pool keep telling me something different too. I read elsewhere on the internet that it was 10 laps (20 lengths). I guess I need to take another math class, but I'm not sure about converting yards to miles, and not even sure it is 25 YARDS. It might be 25 meters like Ryan's pool.

Message: Some clarification
450 Yards = .255 mile (about 9 laps or 18 lengths of a 25 yard pool).

400 Meters = .2485 mile (about 8 laps or 16 lengths in a 25 meter pool).

I use this website when I need to figure out how far I have swam.
