Subject: swim distance By: mischa berg Written on: 2005-03-17 13:50:42 Message: If I am swimming in a 25yard (length) pool, how many laps would be equal to 1/4 mile?
Subject: RE: swim distance By: Ryan Patton Written on: 2005-03-17 14:44:15 Message: I believe it is 16 if you are counting each way. I swim in a 25 meter pool and I always use a conversion calculator to figure out the distance.
Subject: RE: swim distance By: Melissa Jarrell Written on: 2005-03-17 17:51:54 Message: One mile in a 25 yard pool is 1,800 yards so 1/4 of a mile would be 450 yards or 18 lengths of the pool.
Subject: RE: swim distance By: mischa berg Written on: 2005-03-18 16:13:30 Message: See, even on here I am getting conflicting info. The lifeguards at the pool keep telling me something different too. I read elsewhere on the internet that it was 10 laps (20 lengths). I guess I need to take another math class, but I'm not sure about converting yards to miles, and not even sure it is 25 YARDS. It might be 25 meters like Ryan's pool.
